A Lifetime Of Sorry

How am I going to say I'm sorry?
To be there when you need me to be.
Missing all of those milestones
that are forever lost in time.
Never to be returned, eternally missed.

You're too little to know
the extent of the time apart
and how I wished that I could take
it all back with those two little words.
